堅樂師生共聚45周年校慶

薪火相傳四十五載 堅樂師生共聚校慶
堅樂中學於12月19日舉行「四十五週年校慶」，當天的崇拜﹑展覽及盆菜晚宴活動，吸引超過六百位校友共聚一堂，分享母校近半世紀春風化雨的碩果，緬懷「堅樂人」的昔日校園點滴。
當天感恩崇拜環節，邀得循道衞理聯合教會候任會長林崇智牧師擔任主禮嘉賓。林牧師對堅樂中學創辦人﹑挪威宣教士司務道致以讚揚，表示其「匱乏中的堅強喜樂」精神在過去四十五年，一直在堅樂師生當中傳揚。典禮中，曾兆基及陳澤生老師分享教學點滴，以及堅樂中學的重要發展。在崇拜尾聲，全校教職員及多位前任教師獻唱「燃燒為主」一曲，高昂氣氛感染在場每位來賓。
盆菜晚宴於校內禮堂舉行，場內六十圍座無虛席。李立中校長於致辭時，分享多項師生成就，包括傑出教師獎項﹑體育比賽冠軍﹑以及中英文辯論隊佳績等。當晚出席的校友，大部分於千禧年後畢業，但也有坐滿十多席﹑於七八十年代畢業的大師兄大師姐共度校慶，細味投影在禮堂屏幕上的舊照。晚宴中，校友們把握機會和昔日師長暢談，場面溫馨，李校長於晚宴結束前，相約所有師生校友於堅樂中學金禧年再會。
45th Anniversary of Holm Glad College —
Embrace our tradition, Celebrate our achievements
Witnessing the celebration of Holm Glad College’s 45th anniversary, over 600 alumni joined the reunion and shared the joy as a member of the big family on 19th December.
At the Thanksgiving Service, Rev. Lam Sung-che, the President-elect of the Hong Kong Methodist Church, was invited as guest of honor, who gave a speech in reaffirming the significant foundation laid by Sister Annie Skau Berntsen, the school founder, who dedicated her whole life evangelizing on a barren ground.
Mr. Tsang Siu Kei and Mr. Chan Chak Sang shared stories about their teaching lives at the campus where they have seen ‘Holm Glad Spirit’ being passed through generations of teachers and students. At the end of the Service, all teaching staff members sang ‘Burning for Christ’ to mark their devotion to teaching in the glory of the Lord.
The highlight of the celebration came when over 600 ‘Holm Gladers’ gathered at the school hall for the ‘Big Bowl Feast’ reunion banquet. The Principal, Mr. Lee Lap Chung proudly announced the school’s latest achievements and awards at the beginning of the banquet.
Among the alumni, a majority graduated after the millennium while some 150 senior Holm Gladers’ graduating years could be dated back to the 70s and 80s. Sharing memories and jokes of the old school days, all teachers and alumni enjoyed a warm home-coming day. As the banquet came to the end, the Principal, Mr. Lee invited all to come back again in Holm Glad College’s year of Jubilee.
